Isaac loves dancing, and wants it to be fun, inclusive, and expressive.
Isaac is an inviting and energetic ceilidh caller. A ceilidh is a British folk dance evening where a caller will teach you all you need to know! Isaac is sure to create a party whether for seasoned folkies or a wedding full of first-timers. Their calling is also gender-free, and they work hard to include to participants with disabilities and special needs.
Isaac also teaches and leads bal dancing, European folk dance mainly from France and Scandinavia. Isaac co-started London’s Euro folk dance night, Bal Étoile, now a staple of the London folk scene, and still regularly leads workshops at it. They’ve also taught workshops in both balfolk and partner dance skills at a range of festivals and folk nights in the UK, the USA and Canada.
Isaac’s unique way of teaching isn’t there to tell you what to do, but to enable you to join in and have a good time – yet still while being deeply rooted in traditional dancing. Previous generations weren’t worrying about left and right in stuffy dance classes – so neither should we!
